When even wealthy people have housing problems, it gives some perspective on the homelessness I see in San Francisco in the U.S. It reminds me of the black and white pictures of "Hoovervilles" (shantytowns and tent villages) I've seen from the Depression era. The stock market may be booming 2024, but the only thing that's financing is trips to space and super yachts for the oligarchs. Regular people are struggling.
