This was a super interesting story, but I'm not sure I agree with your conclusions. I think monogamy disadvantages women. Whereas polyamory can upend the traditional notions of "ownership" and who is responsible for what in relationships. This is particularly true for women. Because our sexuality has been and still is controlled by society, it can benefit women to throw out the old rulebook. Of course, there are potential problems, too. But also potential benefits.
