That was an interesting thought experiment, Marlene. Thanks for this original idea. The degree to which women's bodies have been and still are controlled is horrible. And I agree that women don't generally "want" abortions or get them because being pregnant is "inconvenient." They get them because they can't take on the dangerous and difficult and poverty-generating work of reproduction without support, as you so brilliantly point out in your other linked piece.
