Thank you for this fascinating and enlightening history of abortion. It's frightening that the U.S. government is regressing to a time when women's reproductive powers were controlled by their husbands and/or the church or State. Kudos to France for living up to the ideals of the modern era and legislating that women, like men, have a human right to determine their own fate.
