Thank you for bringing this story to Fourth Wave. I love to learn about cultures that are different than my own. And I'm glad to hear that menstruation afforded you a privilege! So often we hear of it being used to shame women. Getting out of fasting (or Physical Education in school, which was my own experience) is a nice advantage. :)
