Retirement gives me the blessing of being able to decide what to do with my time. I can fill it up with appointments and meetings and responsibilities if I like--there's a lot that needs doing in this world of ours--but I can also take time to lay on a hammock and watch for hummingbirds. My choice. I finally feel I am the author of my own life.
