Well said! One thing that hit home for me after reading Marlene Rosette's story on this site (Reproductive Work and Male Privilege) is that being pregnant and having babies is DANGEROUS and difficult unpaid work. The U.S. has a high rate of maternal mortality and provides almost no support to parents. If a woman wants to take that on, great. But if she doesn't, the state has no right to tell her she must put her physical health, finances, and entire future at risk because they want another worker to enslave for the billionaire class' profit. More and more women are choosing to not have children, and I get why. Until women have complete power over our bodies and excellent support systems in place for both parents and children, we should refuse to do this hard, unpaid work.
