My unpopular opinion is we need to reopen the asylums we closed in the 60s and 70s so people in crisis can stay in them as long as they need to get well. Currently, most people in crisis get 3 days maximum in a general hospital or carted off to jail. If they get any "help" at all. Most are left on the street to harm themselves and others.
