I've read a lot of your articles, and slowly it's been dawning on me that matrimania, as you call it, is also a tool of the patriarchy. Marriage benefits men more than women; it traditionally puts women in a helper role that hampers their ability to do for themselves. Although it's possible to couple up on a more equal basis, it's not common, in my experience. Thanks for another great article. They always make me think.
