I've had bad bosses, too, both male and female. It pretty much makes or breaks the job for me. If my boss appreciates me, I'm happy. If not, I'm not. The money is secondary to that dynamic. If you pay me a lot and abuse me, I'm still unhappy. At my last job, the boss was difficult, but since i didn't have to interact with her very often, I held on. The best thing bosses can do is get out of the way and let their employees do what they were hired for! I'm sorry your current boss is being a douchebag!
