i'm hoping Joe Biden has a plan to fix the brutal police culture in this nation along with everything else he's doing. I personally think our police forces should be cut in half and the money used to staff social service teams to respond to calls about homelessness, drug use, and domestic abuse. i don't think police (or citizens) should carry guns. And I think all schoolchildren should be trained to be heroes like Darnella Frazier and attempt to interrupt wrongdoing when they see it.

I recently wrote something about Cariol Horne which you can find at the link below. She was a cop who stopped another cop from choking a man to death. She was punished for it for 15 years, but now her former precinct is seeing the light, restoring her pension and passing a law requiring cops to intervene when they see their fellows use excessive force. I pray the culture is changing.
