I saw a story about an artificial womb in which they gestated a sheep. It looked super creepy to me. It looked like a big plastic bag. But when I showed it to my scientist daughter she thought it was cool and a great idea that would solve a lot of problems! Wow. Then maybe if women weren't needed to make babies, we could get rid of our superpower and the condemnation that comes with it and play the "game" on level ground...
Maybe it could solve the abortion debate, too. Women who don't want babies but accidentally conceive could transfer them to the artificial womb and give them to couples who can't conceive. I wonder if the math would work on that? I hear there's a birth "deficit" in many countries now.
