I look forward to reading this! I was fascinated by both the Milgram Experiment and the Stanford Prison Experiment, in which people did not stand up against others who were doing harmful things--or telling them to do them. We are trained to be obedient, perhaps women moreso than men. Later, Philip Zimbardo, author of the Stanford experiment, established a program trying to teach people to do that--to resist evil, question authority, be heroes. It's something that needs to be cultivated and reinforced. Our world would be a better place if there were more heroes among us.
