I know several men I feel safe with. Maybe that's a function of age? I'm 69, so no longer "prey." Sex isn't always part of the conversation. Some might annoy me with their privilege or limited perspective, but that doesn't make me feel unsafe. Just frustrated. Most of those I find annoying are my age or older. The younger men I socialize with seem to be more aware and better listeners. I still have hope for men leveling up. Perhaps one day a large percentage of men will be fully human like your friend.
