I hear you, Marlene. I did find a story about Afghanistan's new Hijab Code on the NYT. The spokesman for the Taliban said something like "we're an Islamic country so we get to follow these rules." And that's the logic I've heard elsewhere, too. "That's their way. Don't interfere." But women are prisoner slaves in that country! How do we stand up for them? One thing I've heard about is in inquiry going on in the UK into Gender Apartheid in Afghanistan. That's something, anyway. But not enough...
