I have no problem with mixed marriages in theory but your poem lays out some hard facts about possible outcomes. As our world cultures expand and intermingle, what is lost and what is gained? I think the key is honoring our ancestors--on both sides. But that, too, can be a trap when it stifles forward progress towards things like gender equity. I guess love conquers all?--Love and respect. And there are families of all kinds, both mixed and homogenous, that fail to provide and honor that.
