I hated that when I was younger. I couldn't smile at men. I wanted to just be my happy, friendly, self, saying to others, "isn't is a beautiful day!" with my smile. But men persisted in misinterpreting, so I had to turn that volume down. Now I'm older and I smile a lot less often. It's a pity. Then there's the irony of men telling women they should smile more!
