I feel sorry for the mother but here she is perpetuating the misogyny by blaming Gul for her own brutal death at the hands of others! She must have believed the lie that blood on the sheets proves virginity. That's not true. But even if it were, when and whether a woman has sex should be up to the woman alone--not her family or husband or society. She is not a farm animal to be controlled and bought and sold from father to husband. She has human rights. Her body belongs to her alone.
