I am absolutely on board for reparations. I am unhappy that the U.S. spends so much on weapons and the military--so much on death and destruction--and so little on lifting people up. All spiritual leaders know that when harm is done an apology is required--for the perpetrator even more than for the victim. The fact that we haven't given one and made reparations to the descendants of slaves is part of what makes this such a violent and racist country today. Your article is convincing. Another that bowled me over with its reasoning was this iconic analysis by Ta-Nahisi Coates: https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2014/06/the-case-for-reparations/361631/
