Gratitude Practice to Infinity & Beyond!

I dropped the ball and picked up the amulet

7 min readMay 28, 2025
Today I am grateful for the ability to come out to a cafe to write with a friend

I was hoping to keep this Gratitude Practice going for a week at least. But I dropped the ball. After starting it on May 18, 2025 and posting my grateful thoughts on Day One, Two, Three, Four, Five, and Six, I didn’t get up early enough or stay up late enough to get on my computer and compose something for Day Seven. That day passed by in a flurry of activity, as did four subsequent days. So here we are on Day Twelve already, without much to show for it. But the good news is, I continued the practice offline. I just didn’t post about it here.

Currently, a friend and I are doing this together via text message. which is quicker, easier, and more personal than a Medium post. So in fact, I know exactly what was making me feel grateful on all the days.

Let’s review.

On Day One, I was grateful for “spending a lazy day with my partner driving through pretty countryside in Northern California — rolling brown and green hills dotted with live oak and poplars — and looking at old planes.”
