Congratulations for noticing your repression and taking it on. Good luck! I hope you are able to deconstruct it. I think most women in this culture are repressed, despite media that puts “sexy” women in our faces 24/7. Sex is such a complicated emotional/physical/spiritual/psychological activity. For me, getting past that objectification and remembering who I am as an individual makes me much more present in the moment and able to enjoy sex. Most of the models I see in magazines or on billboards look soulless and dead. I don’t find that sexy! It’s almost like they’re anti-sex.
