Beautiful piece, Linda. The statistic that really grabbed me was the comparison between domestic violence and war. How can this plague continue to be hidden, denied, ignored, or made light of in light of those numbers?
"From 2001–2012, we lost 6,488 American Troops in Afghanistan and Iraq. And back at home, 11,766 women in America died at the hands of men who once loved them." I hadn't realized it was so bad . . .
